Environment Centre NT - protecting nature, living sustainably, creating climate for a change

Jabiluka 20th Anniversary

It is 20 years since the successful Jabiluka Blockade, which stopped Uranium from being mined at Jabiluka and shipped to Ranger (both of which are inside World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park)

The blockade began officially on 23 March on land made available by the Mirrar Traditional Owners, several kilometres from the Jabiluka site and ran until November 1998.

We hope to celebrate this momentous year and invite you to send photos of yourself wearing your Stop Jabiluka T-Shirt if you still have one.

Please contact us at admin@ecnt.org  if you want to help plan a couple of events during the year.
